Search for and order VM image<\/h3>\n<h4>a. Search for the VM image<\/h4>\n<p>Search the list of Public Images for <em>KUSANAGI for IBM Cloud<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl01-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl01\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Log in to IBM Cloud&#8217;s Customer Portal.<\/p>\n<p>On the top menu, hover over &#8220;Devices&#8221;, then &#8220;Manage&#8221;, then click &#8220;Images&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe following screen will display.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl02-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl02\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select &#8220;Public Images&#8221; from the drop down menu under &#8220;Image Templates&#8221; and click &#8220;Filter&#8221; on the top right.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl03-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl03\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter &#8220;KUSANAGI&#8221; in the Template Name field then click the blue &#8220;Filter&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl04-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl04\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once <em>KUSANAGI for IBM Cloud<\/em> is shown, click &#8220;Actions&#8221; on the right side of the row.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl05-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl05\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click \u201cOrder Hourly Virtual Server\u201d.<\/p>\n<h4>b. Order the virtual machine<\/h4>\n<p>The &#8220;Configure&#8221; screen will display.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl06-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl06\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Quantity: Specify the number of virtual servers. Generally enter &#8220;1&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Location: Specify the data center where the virtual machine will be located<\/li>\n<li>COMPUTING INSTANCE: Specify the number of CPU cores<\/li>\n<li>RAM: Specify the memory size. System requirements for <em>KUSANAGI for IBM Cloud<\/em> are 4GB or more<\/li>\n<li>Finally, click &#8220;Continue Your Order&#8221; at the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Then the \u201cOrder Summary and Billing\u201d screen will display.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl07-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl07\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the host name of the virtual machine in &#8220;Host and Domain Names&#8221; near the middle of the screen. Check the box that you have read the service agreement and click &#8220;Finalize Your Order&#8221;<br \/>\n* The host name entered in this step can be changed later from the Customer Portal. If the domain or other details are yet to be decided, you can enter a temporary name in this step.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl13-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl13\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If the &#8220;Your Receipt&#8221; screen is displayed, then your order is completed. Close the popup screen and return to the Customer Portal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl09-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl09\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the top menu, hover over &#8220;Devices&#8221;, then click &#8220;Device List&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl10-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl10\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Configuration of the ordered virtual machine will begin.<br \/>\nAfter configuration, the virtual machine will start up and the clock icon on the left side of the device name will disappear. If the clock icon does not disappear after 4 or 5 minutes, please refresh the page.<\/p>\n<h4>c. Confirm your SSH login information for the virtual machine<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl11-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl11\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make note of the Public IP of the virtual machine.<\/li>\n<li>Click the arrow on the far left side of Device Name to display the details of the virtual machine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl12-1.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl12\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Check the box &#8220;Show Password&#8221; to show the root password. Make note of this password since it will be used to log in by SSH.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Log in to the virtual machine and prepare for initialization<\/h3>\n<p>Below we will explain how to log in to your virtual machine in preparation for initialization.<\/p>\n<h4>a. Log in to your virtual machine<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kusanagi.tokyo\/en-kusanagi8\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kusanagisl14.jpg\" alt=\"kusanagisl14\" width=\"474\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Using an SSH client such as Poderosa or other terminal software, log in to your virtual machine.<br \/>\nThe host name is the Public ID, and your password was shown in the details of your virtual machine.
