The PHP 8 module for KUSANAGI 8 currently uses PHP 8.0, but PHP 8.0 will no longer be supported by the community as of November 26, 2023, so the PHP 8 module for KUSANAGI 8 will be upgraded to PHP 8.1.
The upgrade of PHP 8 modules for KUSANAGI 8 is scheduled in early September 2023. After the upgrade, existing PHP 8.0 will be automatically replaced with PHP 8.1 when the PHP 8 modules for KUSANAGI 8 are updated with the yum command.
Since there are several incompatibilities between PHP 8.0 and PHP 8.1, please make sure that you have addressed these incompatibilities before updating with the yum command if you are using PHP 8 on KUSANAGI 8.
To use PHP 8.1, WordPress 5.9 or higher is required.
Also, please make sure that the plugin/theme used is compatible with PHP 8.1.
Note that KUSANAGI 9 is able to run PHP 8.0, PHP 8.1, or PHP 8.2 as of August 23, 2023 upon your choice.
If you are required to continue using PHP 8.0, please consider migrating to KUSANAGI 9.
